For those golfers and their guests wishing to stay overnight on either Thursday 9th and/or Friday 10th September, the hotel offered us special rates as follows:

Single room £60.00 per night (including full English breakfast)
Double or Twin room £80.00 per night (including full English breakfast)

The Organiser can reserve rooms for you with hotel but you then pay Hotel when you check out from your room, 36 hours cancellation notice required.

Car Parking: Parking at the hotel is FREE.

THURSDAY, 9th September

Welcome and Entertainment

Due to the success of Quiz last year, we have decided to continue with the quiz night. Teams will be MAXIMUM of FOUR – if you are more than four, we will place you with others to make a team of four.  You will also have the opportunity to bid for an “Egghead” on your team for each round. Quiz entry will need to be paid in advance at £20 per person which does INCLUDE A MEAL.

Please go to The Norfolk and Essex Room for the quiz which will be open for registration from 6.15pm and one of my team will be there to welcome you and hand you a ticket for your meal. If you have not prepaid, £20.00 will be taken if prior agreement to pay on the night agreed.

Once registered please go and sit down at your table and then go to the Foyer Bar for your food to take back to table to eat. Food will be available from Foyer Bar 6.30pm until 8.00pm only (you can eat whilst quiz on if necessary) and QUIZ will start prompt at 7.30pm.  Foyer Bar will be closed all night.

There will be waiter service for drinks in this room until the end of the quiz. The winning team will receive a prize!

Please complete and return the appropriate form with your team confirmation and payment, so hotel has idea of catering numbers. You can only pay on the night if arranged in advance with Organiser.

FRIDAY 10th September

Gala Dinner

In line with the theme this year we shall be celebrating Tony Hadley’s 40 (in 2020) years in the music business so we are all going to HOLLYWOOD at the Hotel for the “TONE” Awards!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to COVID and hotel guidelines - arrival for dinner will have to be different this year. When you arrive for Gala Dinner please make your way to the Buckingham Suite putting your tickets in the bucket before going down the corridor which will be split for distancing purposes going to main room and coming back from main room to reception or toilets. On way to the Buckingham Suite you will go past the Silent Auctions items in the Burghley & Thorpe Room and be given a booklet to take with you to dinner to look at then make your way straight into Buckingham Suite and sit down at your table.  At entrance to Buckingham Suite there will be a welcome glass of “Bubbly” for you to pick up and take with you to your table.  The Foyer Bar will be closed on arrival and will open after “Starter” is finished.  However, a pre order and pay wine/beer list will have been sent to you with your team confirmation to enable you to pre order and pay for your drinks to be ready on your table when you sit down,

If you have not sent this form and pre-ordered, the hotel will have a small “order and pay station” near reception. This will also be available if checking in on the Thursday and during afternoon and arrival at hotel on 10th September.

A Table Plan will be near the help desk on a screen before going down the red carpet so you can advise hotel which table you are on.

Alex and Andrew our two magicians will be entertaining you whilst sitting at your table until 7.00pm when dinner will start PROMPT.

If you have vegetarians or guests with dietary requirements such as diabetic, gluten free, mushroom or nut allergy etc, then please ensure you have informed the Organiser on your return confirmation form so the hotel can be made aware.

All timings, hotel address and the dress code are shown on your tickets - the Dress code for the evening is “Black Tie”. The Dinner “Help” desk will be open from 6.00pm at the hotel.  If you have forgotten tickets entry may be delayed due to name checks.

Security & Tickets

Tickets are required for ENTRY. This year PLEASE SHOW YOUR TICKETS FOR ENTRY - Security will be in attendance. Please ensure you have written all guest names on tickets before arriving, as tickets will be requested on arrival at hotel.

This year NO tickets will be sent out in the post – tickets will either be given to Captains at registration desk for all their guests or in their rooms if staying at the hotel on the Thursday or at the quiz if attending on the Thursday, or in rooms on arrival for special guests staying at hotel. .Please ensure you give tickets to your guests prior to their arrival at hotel.. For non-golfing guests who are staying at hotel, tickets will be in your room on arrival.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR TICKETS – no other tickets will be issued.

During the dinner there will be an Envelope Draw which will be £20 to enter – you can enter as many times as you like.  The envelopes will be on your dinner table so if you want to enter with a chance to win some prizes please complete the entry on envelope with your name and table number and enclose the £20.  You will need to complete this early evening and envelopes will be collected after the Starter and draw will take place later on the night.

Throughout the dinner there will be some surprises as well as a Charity Live Auction, Silent Auction, Guest Speaker, Golf & the “TONE” Awards and Entertainment.  (Some of these may take place during courses) After the entertainment there is a Fun Casino for prizes until 2.30am  

Other Information

SHUTTLE MINIBUS – Courtesy of THE PETERBOROUGH LIONS

We are delighted that we have use of The Peterborough Lions minibus called “Elsa”! This minibus will carry 12 passengers and their golf bags. A mini-bus schedule will be sent to Captains and they book their preferred times in line with their tee off, Times will be on a screen on display in Reception should non-golfers wish to use it too. Details sent with your confirmation.  Please book in advance on your form and return to Organiser.

After Dinner Entertainment:

“Hollywood” Fun Casino

Our Casino operated by Acorn Events will open immediately after the dinner and entertainment finishes (approx.12.00 midnight) and event will close at 2.25am for Casino prize winners to be announced – don’t miss out on playing for some great prizes!

Casino fun money ($100) can be bought for £10 and will be on sale during Dinner and Casino opening times.

Bar

The Main Bar of hotel is open for residents but the Foyer Bar will be closed on arrival until after “Starter” is finished and then Foyer Bar will open until 2.30am and thereafter a resident’s bar only.

“Bacon Butties” will be available at £3.50 to order and pay for at the Foyer Bar from 1.00am to 2.30am during Casino.

Silent Auction

We are delighted that once again, Good 2 Auction, will be running their excellent silent auction on the day and night. This was very successful for the charity last year so we are pleased to welcome them back. We hope you enjoy spending your money on something you want whilst helping to stop disease and disability in children.  Silent auction booklets will be available on arrival prior to taking your seat for dinner reception and during the dinner.  Silent Auction will close during the dinner so get those bids in early!  All bids OVER the minimum bid go to the Charity.

Table Wine/Beer

Wine is NOT included in your entry/ticket price. In view of the COVID guidelines this year and the Foyer Bar being closed on arrival, you should pre order and pay for any wine/beer/bucket of beer so it can be ready on your table on arrival. A Wine/Beer order form will be given with your confirmation so, please complete the form sent with confirmation and email as per instructed direct to hotel or contact the Conference Team at the hotel on direct line 01733 289933 to order and pay by credit/debit card.

Photos

Our official photographer this year is Marc Wheatley: his email is marcwheatleyphotography@gmail.com.  As Marc is our only photographer on the day he will try and get all team shots done on 1st or 10th tees. You will be asked on the Tee whether you would like a Team photo taken for £10 (per team shot) – this is an option, not compulsory and, if so, please pay the photographer £10 on the tee and he will ask for your email so he can email a link to you for you to download your team photo shortly after the event.

If you ask the photographer to take a photo of you with a celebrity during the day or evening, donations of notes or coins in the Action bucket would be gratefully received but again not compulsory. Thank you!

Raffle tickets

Tickets can be purchased at £10 a strip on arrival at the hotel and during the Gala dinner.

Cancelation

Should you withdraw your team within four weeks of the event and in the unlikely event that the course is unplayable on the day, please note that no monies will be refunded but the Gala dinner will still take place in the evening.
